Elevator buttons more dirster than toilets
The next time you use the elevator, do not forget to wash your hands.

A new study reveals that floor call buttons in elevators contain 40 times more germs than… public toilets!
The study was conducted in hotels, restaurants, banks, offices and airports - and identified 313 microbial colonies in every square centimeter of elevator buttons!
How many colonies did the "lids" on the toilets have? "Just eight," Dr. Nicholas Moon of Microban Europe, who conducted the study for the University of Arizona, told the Daily Mail.
Among the germs isolated is the coliform bacterium, known as e. coli, which is a common cause of food poisoning but also problems such as urinary tract infections.
"In a noisy building, the elevator buttons can be touched by hundreds of people, who come into contact with all kinds of germs every hour," explains Dr. Moon.
"Even if the buttons are cleaned regularly - which is rarely done - the chances of re-infecting them are very high."
400 times more offices
This is not the first time that studies by the University of Arizona have shown that the places where we move are much dirtier than the toilets.
